Why This Topic???

My topic of choice is Tae Kwon Do; I choose this topic because as a student of Tae Kwon Do I have found it to be highly interesting. My instructor is very philosophical when he teaches the history of this martial art. There are many interesting facts about this particular martial art, like the first records are from 50 b.c and that it is taught as a defensive strategy to use against any enemy that attack you. The ancient art of Tae Kwon Do caught on very quickly, the discipline, the honor, and respect were a few of the main points that were taught. From personal experience I have learned a lot about this style of martial arts, that there are different forms of this particular martial art, you have the traditional style and there is the American style but both still teach the basic skills and philosophy of this sport.
