Reflection
The thing that surprised me the most while I was reflecting on my blog was that the oldest records of Tae Kwon Do date all the way back to 50 BC. Tae Kwon Do was not recognized worldwide until about 1950, when Korean president Syngman Rhee watched a thirty minute performance by Korean Martial arts masters. He was so impressed that he ordered that every Korean soldier receive Martial arts training. One question that was never fully answered is: how Tae Kwon Do remained hidden from the rest of the world for so long? While researching this topic I have found a new respect and admiration for the entire sport of Tae Kwon Do.
